About Our Shop

Nice to meet you.

This shop, “幸織Shiori,” is a kimono dressing shop in Japan.

The store’s name “Shiori” conveys the meaning of bringing happiness together .

It also has the meaning behind it being like a bookmark that you can insert into your heart on important days in your life.

The roots of the kimono as worn today are said to date back to the Heian period(794 to 1185 AD)

After going through various eras, by the Edo period (1600 to 1868 AD)the kimono had taken on the form we see today.

In modern times, kimonos have come to be worn as a traditional Japanese fashion.

There are a wide variety of materials and designs available, allowing you to enjoy wearing kimono in a way that suits you.

Our store also has good access to Miyajima and Peace Park in Hiroshima.

Why not try on a kimono and experience Japanese culture as a souvenir of your trip?

For customers who want to wear kimonos, we provide complete support, from choosing a kimono, to putting it on and taking photos.

After working at a recycled and antique kimono shop, I opened my own kimono shop.
At the same time, I worked as a bridal hairdresser and learned proper bridal dressing, hair and makeup.

The three joys that Shiori brings

Learn about Japanese culture through a casual kimono experience
In the casual kimono experience, you can wear “komon,” which is a casual, everyday garment.
Komon is not a formal kimono, but a casual kimono (everyday wear). It is perfect for dining, watching plays, visiting museums, and also has an aspect of fashionable dress.
Each pattern and design on a kimono has a meaning.
A kimono professional will explain each step carefully.

Through this experience, you will be able to get to know Japan on a deeper level.
Make a lifelong memory by wearing a wedding kimono
In the wedding kimono experience, you can actually try on the “shiromuku” (white wedding kimono), “iro-uchikake” (colored kimono), and “montsuki-hakama” (crested hakama) that are worn at Japanese-style weddings.
The person dressing you will be a professional kimono dresser who actually dresses brides in kimono.
You can experience a lifelong memory with authentic costumes and dressing like no other.
If you wish, we can also do location shooting as an option. If you are interested, please send us a message.
Professional hair styling and makeup for an ideal kimono experience
Hair and makeup can also be done by licensed professionals.
By choosing your hair and makeup to match your kimono, you can achieve the look you desire in your ideal kimono.
Our hairdressers will suggest a wide range of hairstyles, including those currently popular in Japan for kimonos and those that go well with traditional kimonos.
